ABOUT THE ROLE
Red Seat Ventures is seeking a Senior Vice President, Content & Talent Partnerships to lead our end-to-end strategy for identifying, structuring, and closing high-impact talent deals. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will be responsible for sourcing premium creators, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and onboarding marquee talent into the Red Seat portfolio.
This role is central to our growth trajectory. You’ll operate as our lead dealmaker—working closely with agents, managers, and creators to assess opportunities and execute deals that drive long-term business value. You'll collaborate with Sales to model monetization potential, lead negotiations, and manage relationships from initial engagement through onboarding.
As Red Seat scales, you will also be responsible for building out a high-performing content leadership team, hiring vertical leads (e.g., Sports, News) who will report to you. The focus, however, will remain on closing transformative, A-level partnerships that elevate Red Seat’s position in the premium content landscape.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the full content deal lifecycle: source, evaluate, structure, and close new talent partnerships
Lead talent partnerships strategy from origination through onboarding for top-tier creator deals
Source, structure, and close high-value agreements with creators/personalities and their agents/managers
Model out revenue opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Finance; define ROI and monetization pathways
Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and IP ownership as needed
Build out and lead a team of genre-focused content heads (e.g., Sports, News, etc.)
Maintain strong market intelligence to inform who we approach, why, and when
Serve as the primary point of contact for talent business development; report regularly to the CEO
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
12+ years of experience across content partnerships, business affairs, or talent strategy—with a proven record of sourcing, structuring, and closing high-value deals
Proven network of agents, managers, and creators across multiple genres
Deep understanding of deal structuring, revenue modeling, and IP strategy
High EQ and ability to build trust with creators and talent teams
Strong operational skills—can execute quickly while navigating ambiguity
Prior success building content portfolios or talent pipelines at a media brand, podcast network, or agency
Experience reporting to or working directly with executive leadership
Strong collaboration skills across sales, marketing, and operational teams
Background in media, podcasting, talent management, or digital publishing
Experience managing genre-based content verticals
Familiarity with both the buyer and seller side of content negotiations
Prior work at a content studio, talent agency, or digital media network

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $296,000.00-375,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
