Service Center Buyer is responsible for sourcing activities supporting Raw Material - Steel commodity. Knowledge of commodity is a plus, but not a requirement. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

Responsible for Flat Sheet Steel Product procurement for Direct and Resale locations  Lead and conclude Steel Sourcing process (RFQ, Allocation, Sourcing Recommendation)  Take a key role in Annual Service Center Steel Contract negotiations  Lead the resolution and negotiations of commercial issues  Provide full support to Steel Service Centers – covering operations in US, CA and MX;  Execute Quarterly Price Adjustments  Manage and support Steel Supply issues (shortages)  Support Cross-functional teams in different activities such as TCR/Business case study etc.  Basic Excel knowledge is a must for this position. 

The selected candidate will interact with many cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Finance. 

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics, International Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or related discipline  Negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically  Analytical skills  Experience in working in cross-functional teams  Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations  Ability to support all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and key internal stakeholders  Must be skilled at relationship building, cost analysis, negotiation (both internal and external), benchmarking, time management and presentations to all levels of management  EOE / Disability / Veteran
