You will be the Sr Sustainment Engineer for the Logistics & Sustainment Engineering (LSE) team. Our team is responsible for supporting depot operations requirements on the Fixed Wing Sniper/LANTIRN program, ensuring contractual obligations are met and delivering high-quality sustainment services.



What You Will Be Doing
As the Sr Sustainment Engineer, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs, retrofits, and testing on aircraft systems, as well as analyzing and troubleshooting issues to ensure timely and effective resolution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate system resources, develop repair instructions, and monitor contract compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing USAF/FMS/DCS repairs, retrofits, and Delta Acceptance Test Procedures
• Conducting system-level testing, LRU testing/troubleshooting, and repair of circuit boards and mechanical components
• Entering and analyzing repair data, updating repair instructions, and monitoring contract compliance
• Coordinating depot activities with multiple programs and customers, developing estimates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Traveling domestically and internationally to perform retrofits, troubleshoot issues, and train maintainers/air crew
• Generating and interpreting reports, updating status charts and metrics, and communicating with senior-level management

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand schematics, generate rework instructions, and to diagnose faults and troubleshoot hardware.
- Ability to perform electrical measurements and analysis using a variety of tools, measurement, and test equipment (Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers).
- Experience with troubleshooting Electro-Optic equipment such as Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) sensors, and electro-mechanical hardware.
- Experience with maintaining tooling, test, and support equipment.
- Experience with analog and/or digital circuits.
- Experience with software.
- Ability to remove/apply conformal coating when performing solder operations and repair circuit card assemblies (CCA)
- Cable and harness fabrication experience
- Strong technical and customer interface skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
- Ability to get and maintain SAR clearance for the Sniper program.
- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of depot level maintenance procedures, repair methods and sustainment principles.
- Understanding of repair parts management and sustainment contracts.
- Familiarity with electronic components and common electronic test equipment.
- Ability to interpret test requirements and electrical test results.
- Ability to conduct detailed failure analysis and develop and implement root cause corrective actions.
- Knowledge of solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
- Experience with CCA component rework and repair
- Rework experience with BGAs and electrical maintenance and rework
- Working knowledge of Asset Management System (AMS).
- Familiarity with Cost Account Management practices/principles
- Awareness and/or experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks and interface well with other Program disciplines.
- Agile thinker with an ability to generate and execute priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
