You will be the Sustainment Engineer for the Logistics & Sustainment Engineering (LSE) team. Our team is responsible for supporting depot operations requirements on the Fixed Wing Sniper/LANTIRN program, ensuring contractual obligations are met while performing repairs, retrofits, and testing.



What You Will Be Doing
As the Sustainment Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to support in-plant depot operations, including system-level testing, repair, and checkout of line replaceable units and complete systems. You will work closely with the depot team to ensure timely and effective completion of sustainment activities.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting depot operations and ensuring contractual obligations are met
• Creating and updating Depot Repair Forms (DRFs) and Asset Management System (AMS) records
• Coordinating system resources to support testing and troubleshooting
• Generating and interpreting reports, including weekly and monthly status charts and metrics
• Interfacing with management and customers to provide status updates and support
• Traveling domestically and internationally to perform retrofits, troubleshoot hardware issues, and train maintainers and air crew
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to fulfill contractual obligations

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong technical and customer interface skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
- Ability to get and maintain SAR clearance for the Sniper program.
- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of depot level maintenance procedures and repair methods and sustainment principles.
- Understanding of repair parts management and sustainment contracts.
- Familiarity with electronic components and common electronic test equipment.
- Ability to interpret test requirements and electrical test results.
- Ability to conduct detailed failure analysis and develop and implement root cause corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of Asset Management System (AMS).
- Awareness and/or experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks and interface well with other Program disciplines.
- Agile thinker with an ability to execute priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
