Amazon's Transportation Team is looking for a Sustainable Transportation Analyst to partner with business functions to develop a robust Program to advance our Climate Pledge commitment of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
Key job responsibilities
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and track carbon emissions across transportation networks and facilities
- Develop and implement cross-functional emission reduction strategies to support our 2040 net-zero carbon goal
- Create incentive programs for Third-Party (3P) carriers adopting low- or zero-emission vehicles
- Drive data-based improvements to achieve both environmental and business objectives
A day in the life
Data Analysis & Monitoring
- Collect and analyze transportation emissions data from multiple sources
- Monitor carbon emissions trends across networks and facilities
- Create and maintain dashboards for emissions tracking
- Generate regular reports on progress toward emission reduction goals
Strategy Development & Implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design emission reduction initiatives
- Evaluate potential carbon reduction technologies and solutions
- Develop implementation roadmaps for approved strategies
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented programs
- Adjust strategies based on performance data and outcomes
Carrier Program Management
- Design and manage incentive programs for Third-Party (3P) carriers
- Review carrier applications and ensure compliance with program requirements
- Track the adoption of low- or zero-emission vehicles by carriers
- Calculate and distribute incentives based on defined program metrics
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers and provide ongoing program support
Stakeholder Engagement
- Present progress updates and key findings to leadership
- Participate in industry working groups and sustainability forums
- Share best practices and success stories internally and externally
Research & Innovation
- Stay up to date with trends in sustainable transportation
- Research emerging technologies and innovative solutions
- Evaluate the feasibility and impact of new clean transportation technologies
About the team
The Sustainable Transportation & Reverse Operations (STRO) team is a newly established division within Amazon's Transportation organization in Brazil .
Our mission is to establish a reverse logistics operations program structure, grouping projects and initiatives that are disperse within other team while maintaining our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an intermediate level
- Advanced English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working cross functionally with transportation teams
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
