Sustainable Ag Precision Farming 

 

This role is pivotal in shaping Bayer's sustainability strategy through data-driven insights and innovative solutions. As part of the team, you will analyze complex business challenges, source relevant data, and develop advanced empirical models to inform strategic decisions. You will lead and prioritize data initiatives based on alignment with business objectives, ensuring effective resource allocation. Your work will transform raw data into actionable insights, presenting findings with a consultative approach to stakeholders. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will derive business insights that support our product pipeline and regenerative systems. You will engage with the Sustainability community to align outcomes with both short- and long-term strategic visions, and identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges through proactive strategy development. By fostering a culture of success, you will promote growth initiatives and a digital mindset within the team. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver impactful presentations and updates to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Analyze complex business challenges, sourcing relevant data, and developing advanced empirical models to inform strategic decisions;Lead and prioritize data initiatives based on alignment with business objectives, ensuring effective resource allocation;Transform raw data into actionable insights, presenting findings with a consultative approach to stakeholders;Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive business insights that support our product pipeline and regenerative systems;Engage with the Sustainability community to align outcomes with both short- and long-term strategic visions;Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges through proactive strategy development;Foster a culture of success by promoting growth initiatives and a digital mindset within the team;Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and updates to senior leadership and other key stakeholders;Convert raw data into usable formats for analysis and visualization, and understand, interpret, and communicate/present insights from data with a ‘consulting mindset’;Support development of business insights for our product pipeline and application in regenerative systems, including flagship crops.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

M.S. Degree;In-depth knowledge of Bayer Crop Science R&D pipelines, particularly in crop characterization and metrics;Proficient in business metrics, including financial and customer experience analytics;Expertise in programming languages for data manipulation and computational statistics, particularly Python (required) and SQL (preferred);Experience with Design of Experiment (DoE), multiple regression techniques, multivariate analysis, mixed models, and data analytics;Familiarity with greenhouse gas calculators, including the Cool Farm Tool, Puma, and associated data inputs;Knowledge of AI applications and the development of automated analytical solutions;Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI;Strong data stewardship capabilities, ensuring data quality and adherence to best practices in data management;Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to influence and manage complex situations;High learning agility and a results-oriented approach, with a strategic focus on balancing immediate and long-term objectives;Holistic perspective with strong business acumen, adept at navigating complex concepts while analyzing intricate details.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Ph.D.3 years of experience in Agriculture, Agronomy.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $155,65.60 - $173,348.40 Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
