**Job Description**
We are seeking a **Sustainability Compliance Analyst** to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting our global sustainability and regulatory compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on regulatory requirements, assessing environmental impacts, and implementing best practices to align with corporate sustainability goals.
As a member of the Sustainability team, this position will collaborate closely with our compliance, sourcing, and merchandise (packaging) teams. The role involves hands-on implementation of environmental policy initiatives and detailed analysis and reporting on the company’s sustainability performance.
This position reports to the **Sustainability Supervisor** and will be based out of our Irvine, CA office.
**As** **the** **Sustainability Compliance Analyst,** **you will have an opportunity to:**
+ Integrate our business practices to adhere to environmental compliance and industry reporting standards, translating the reporting needs to operational execution.
+ Collect and organize large data sets, supporting the corporate GHG foot printing and carbon intensityactivity.
+ Educate operations on sustainability-related compliance topics.
+ Become skilled in plastics and packagingas they relate to compliance and eco-modulation, utilizing webinars and external resources.
+ Collaborate, communicate, and follow up with cross-functional teams to incorporate sustainable practices into operations.
+ Provide data for sustainable supply chain initiatives and environmental reporting as needed for internal & external stakeholders.
+ Work efficientlyon both in-office and virtual teams.
+ Keep track ofindustry trends, peers, and associations regardingsustainability compliance solutions such as Circular Alliance, OIA, Sustainable Packaging Coalition, Textile Exchange etc.
**You have:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field(Equivalent years of experience in a substantially similar industry may be considered in lieu of a degree)
+ 2-4 years of experience in sustainability analysis or a related role
+ Strong understanding of environmental regulations, GHG reporting, supply chain sustainability and sustainability standards
+ Effective in presenting complex ideas in simplified formats
+ Experience with sustainability management systems and carbon intensity accounting
+ Excellent project management, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills
+ Advanced in data analysis and MS Excel skills
+ Skilled working independently and as part of a team
+ Passionate about sustainability and motivated to be a change maker
**You might have:**
+ ESG or Sustainability Certification
+ Familiarity and comfort with SB253, SB261 and CSRD preferred
**Pay Range:**
Annual Salary: $74,000.00 - $85,000.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
