Assess, analyze, and improve the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Participates in new processes establishment related to the new regulations. Supports department leadership in studying new and proposed sustainable programs. Develop methodologies used and document steps taken throughout the data collection and analysis process. This position also assists the Sustainability Manager with a variety of district wide projects and programs.
Responsibilities:
+ Analyzing and interpreting data related to sustainability metrics, such as energy consumption, waste production, carbon emissions, and social impact indicators.
+ Conducting comprehensive sustainability assessments, including environmental impact analyses, to identify areas for improvement.
+ Collaborating to ensure that the organization complies with existing or newly released ESG regulations.
+ Researching and staying updated on industry best practices, and trends related to sustainability.
+ Analyzing data and preparing reports to communicate sustainability performance to stakeholders.
+ Engaging with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
+ Identifying and evaluating sustainability risks and opportunities that could impact the organization's long-term viability and reputation.
Qualifications:
+ 2-5 years experience
+ Understanding and knowledge of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
+ Can synthesize complex data into themes, stories and recommendations
+ Intermediate systems knowledge in assigned functional area
+ Microsoft Excel - intermediate skills
+ Can present data in a visually compelling format to help business stakeholders understand the issues, possibilities and recommendations
+ Microsoft PowerPoint - intermediate
+ Presentation skills - intermediate skills required. Some formal training in public speaking/presentation skills preferred
