Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you’ll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

What You Will DoWe are seeking a motivated and collaborative professional to support the global assurance program for responsible production and sustainability at FCX. This role works across the organization to assist in implementing assurance processes, developing practical tools, and supporting site-level success in meeting sustainability standards.
This position will work closely with sites, subject matter experts and assurers to develop and lead execution of assurance plans to maintain Copper Mark/CMSI certifications. This includes maintaining calendars, assisting in the development of standard work practices, tools and their associated training programs, reviewing evidentiary documentation and providing feedback to both sites and assurers, maintaining virtual platforms and the necessary data and information.Communicates with Responsible Production Framework organizations to identify, maintain and fulfill requirements as needed.Coordinates materials for and assists in delivery of and education for the global Sustainability Network on external assurance and commitments across responsible production and sustainability frameworks.Coordinate with assurer to assist in contract management, working proactively to maintain process and meet milestones.Communicates across company as needed to ensure a coordinated approach with related assurance and audit programs.Works with Sustainability Reporting and Communications as needed to fulfill reporting requirements and supports other programs within Sustainability as needed.What You Bring To Freeport Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability or related (Sustainability, Environmental/Science, Human Rights, International Development, Business, or related field) and two (2) years of experience in Environmental or Sustainability Management, OR Master’s degree in Sustainability or related field (Sustainability, Environmental/Science, Human Rights, International Development, Business) and one (1) year of experience in Environmental or Sustainability Management.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of staff and management.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a cross-functional team of diverse individuals. Highly flexible and adaptable to change. Solid creativity, strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple assignments effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline- driven environment. Strong attention to detail and highly organized. Strong communication skills. Occasional domestic and international travel required.Preferred Qualifications Business skills/acumen relevant to the mining sector. Previous experience collecting, managing and disclosing (internal or external) quantitative and qualitative data related to the sustainability field preferred.What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $73,500-$101,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
