DuPont has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Sustainability Application Development Engineer f/m in the Tyvek® Roll Goods line of business.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sustainability Application Development Engineer to join our team in the Tyvek® Roll Goods line of business. This role is central to developing sustainable innovations and aligning with our sustainability regulatory strategies for the Tyvek® Consumer & Industrial (C&IC) segment. The position will be based at our manufacturing site in Luxembourg (EMEA) and report directly to the Global Technology Leader of Tyvek® Roll Goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Innovative Sustainable Product Development:
Identify and prioritize sustainability-driven innovation projects that address customer needs and regulatory requirements.Lead Application Development projects through all phases from concept to prototyping, testing, and successful launch.Collaborate with Marketing teams to articulate the sustainability aspects of product offerings effectively.Sustainability Regulatory Strategy:
Create and maintain a regulatory map and knowledge base to identify key sustainability regulatory issues across Tyvek® C&IC markets.Establish timelines and milestones to monitor the progress of regulatory advocacy initiatives.Build and manage relationships with regulators, industry experts, and other key stakeholders.Contribute to sustainability standard development organizations and industry associations.Author white papers on regulatory and industry topics for presentation at customer events and conferences.Drive demand through advocacy and educational initiatives targeting industry stakeholders.Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.In-depth understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and circular economy practices.Proven leadership in project management and in marketing/application development.Experience in developing sustainable products according to mass-balance frameworks (e.g., ISCC+ certified) and in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools and data analysis software preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging, printing, nonwovens or manufacturing environments.Certification in Six Sigma or other statistics-related training is advantageous.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).Competencies:
