Job DescriptionActively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menusEnsure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for à la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standardsCommunicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedbackEnsure all kitchen colleagues are aware of standards & expectationsMaintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentationAdhere to menu engineering program and create seasonal and holiday menus according to hotel guidelinesControl outlet food cost, through menu engineering, production efficiencies, and food wasteConduct corrective disciplinary action forms and documentation as neededCompletes daily temperature log books and insures FIFO of all received goods.Place work orders for items needing repairOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years in the food service industry; sushi rolling experience requiredAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishExcellent knife skills - experienced in cutting large fish for sashimi & nigiri and prepping vegetables for common sushi rolls & garnishValid food handler’s license, with sound knowledge of food safety regulationsThe ability to stand for long periods of timeThe ability to work under pressure with sound judgmentEncompass the company mission and core valuesDemonstrated professionalism in front of the customers and respect for co-workers and workplace at all times
