Job Description: 

Provide internal surveying service to ensure construction work complies with design drawing locations.

Essential Functions:

Understanding and ability to use surveying equipment such as GPS, total station, data collectors, etc. Knowledge of Surveying techniques, procedures, and calculations; Perform layout work competently and accurately as specified by Project Manager or General Superintendent; Provide checking of as-built conditions that require use of surveying techniques. Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities; Assist with conducting quantity calculations; Ability to interpret construction plans and perform basic calculations supporting work; Ability to work in a team environment and to communicate clearly; Ability to perform work tasks independently and safely; Experience in setting up heavy equipment GPS systems a plus.

Required Experience:

3 or more years as a Construction Survey Technician; Field construction experience; Must possess a valid state driver’s license prior to employment.

MSHA Experience and Certification
