Job Title: SurveyorJob Description The surveyor will be responsible for the operation of a field survey crew, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all tasks. The role involves organizing field work, directing crew members, maintaining a safe work environment, and accurately collecting field data. The surveyor will also be responsible for delivering data to the office and maintaining accurate records. This position requires considerable walking outdoors throughout the year, navigating various terrains in extreme weather conditions. Some overnight travel may be necessary. Responsibilities + Operate a field survey crew with a focus on quality and accuracy. + Organize field work and direct crew members effectively. + Maintain a safe work environment and protect equipment and vehicles. + Accurately collect field data and locate features. + Deliver collected data to the office in a timely manner. + Maintain accurate records of work and expenses. + Ensure work meets regulatory requirements and supports client relations. Essential Skills + Experience running survey crews. + Training and leading new surveyors. + Proficiency with survey equipment including total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment. + 5-6 years progressive experience in survey field operations, with at least 2 years as a survey crew chief. + Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED. + Familiarity with Trimble equipment is preferred. + Transportation survey experience is preferred. + CST certification is preferred. + EFB data collection experience is preferred. + Strong technical skills with a process-oriented and detail-oriented approach.
