Our Charlotte, NC office is looking for a Survey Technician who embodies this purpose.
Responsibilities Deed PlottingPreparation and set-up of survey data for field crewsPost survey field data analysisConstruction Layout CalculationsGrade Sheet ComputationBoundary Survey ResolutionALTA/ASCM Land Title Survey PreparationTopographic/Volume AnalysisConstruction As-built Surveys and/or Layout SketchesPreparation of Metes & Bounds DescriptionsProject Datum Conversion/TransformationCoordination with CAD personnelAssisting Project Surveyor with obtaining necessary data to complete surveyOvernight travel may be requiredMust have flexibility in daily schedule start times, particularly early morningsWill assist and work directly with Assistant Project Managers and Project ManagersStrong knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3DProficient in learning new software and technologiesOther duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalentCollege education or a Bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferredExcellent organizational and communications skillsStrong technical backgroundAbility to meet project deadlines within given budget limits and time framesAbility and focus on Quality Control/Quality AssuranceSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and as team membersDesire to succeed and excel in a fast-paced work environmentMust be able to lift over 50lbsReliable transportation is required when company provided vehicles are not available and employees must maintain a valid driver’s license to use company provided vehiclesEmployees are reimbursed according to applicable IRS regulations when using their personal vehicle on job related assignmentsTwo years’ experience in AutoCAD LDD AutoCAD LDD 2009, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, or equivalent CAD programProficiency in MS Word and ExcelKnowledge of field survey operations, engineering and construction industryControl Point Associates is an equal opportunity employer and affords equal opportunity to all applicants and employees for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other status protected under local, state or federal laws.
