Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Survey Party/Crew Chief to lead a survey crew in various field conditions and projects, primarily focusing on FDOT Projects. This role involves managing and executing tasks related to boundary, topographic, ALTA, Laser Scanning, Geodetic Leveling, Subdivisions, and As-built surveys.
ResponsibilitiesManage and lead a survey crew in a variety of field conditions.Conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA, Laser Scanning, Geodetic Leveling, Subdivisions, and As-built surveys.Utilize cutting-edge technology for accurate data collection and analysis.Ensure the efficient operation of survey equipment including total stations, GPS, and digital/automatic levels.Coordinate and plan out-of-town projects, ensuring travel arrangements are made (typically 2-4 nights, once or twice a month).Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills to foster a positive and team-oriented work environment.Essential SkillsExperience as a Survey Party Chief.FDOT experience is mandatory.Proficiency with total stations, data collection devices, GPS equipment, and digital/automatic levels.Strong leadership and management skills.Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with the operation of FDOT EFB, GPS, and related instruments is a plus.Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a lot of backlog and overtime opportunities.Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position in Florida, working outdoors in a crew of 2-3 people. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
