The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in land, bridge, and road surveying. Must have exceptional leadership abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. JOB SUMMARY
Provide internal surveying service to ensure construction work complies with design drawing locations. The ideal candidate will lead survey crews, manage layout schedules, ensure data accuracy, and support the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects.
JOB DUTIES
Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by crafts (Ex: forms for concrete pours, anchor bolts, piping hanger and supports, etc.). Managing survey teams. Provide checking of “as built” conditions that require the use of surveying techniques. Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities. Provide quantity calculations as required. Providing guidance to field staff. Building maps and sketches Prepare documentation of surveying activities (field books) “as built” drawings and submit for approval upon completion. Maintain condition and adjustment of surveying equipment. Coordinate surveying activities with the assigned project manager to meet the construction requirements. Accuracy verification of plan drawings. Thorough knowledge of and ability to use all the surveying equipment and techniques essential. Ability to accurately read blueprints and calculate shapes (geometric, etc.).QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Four (4) to six (6) years of experience as a heavy civil survey manager on large, complex projects including all work disciplines. Proficiency with Trimble Business Center and Trimble Robotics. Ability to manage multiple survey crews and projects.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy. Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company. Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.). Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director. Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time. Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)Work Environment:
