Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Survey Manager to join our team! In this role you will lead surveying activities on a high-profile airport infrastructure development program. The role requires deep expertise in construction surveying, geospatial coordination, and team leadership to ensure accurate site layout, monitoring, and control throughout all project phases.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of experience in surveying large-scale infrastructure projects, with a strong preference for experience in aviation or airfield development environments.

What You'll Be Doing;

Manage and oversee all surveying operations across multiple airfield and infrastructure zones.Establish project control points, benchmarks, and ensure consistent geodetic accuracy across the site.Review and validate contractor survey data, as-built drawings, and topographic deliverables.Lead layout verification for runways, taxiways, utilities, terminal structures, and related civil works.Ensure accuracy and completeness of survey data in accordance with project specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.Develop and implement quality control procedures for field data collection and processing.Audit survey reports, GIS inputs, and coordinate geometry (COGO) files for integrity and compliance.Lead a team of field surveyors and CAD technicians, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing technical mentorship.Coordinate with construction, design, and inspection teams to integrate survey activities into daily operations.Participate in coordination meetings and interface management sessions with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.Oversee calibration, maintenance, and optimal use of total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, 3D laser scanners, UAVs, and digital levels.Support implementation of modern survey technology and software platforms including Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Leica or Topcon systems.Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all digital and hardcopy survey data.Ensure alignment with airport authority requirements and relevant aviation and construction codes.Maintain up-to-date survey logs, data sheets, inspection reports, and deviation reports.Review contractor submittals related to survey works, including method statements, control plans, and as-built records.Promote and enforce safety best practices during all surveying activities, especially in active airside and landside environments.Conduct risk assessments and establish controls for survey-related hazards.

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in surveying for infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years in a lead or managerial role.Experience on major airport, airfield, or transportation programs is essential.Proficient in land and construction surveying principles, coordinate systems, and geodetic controls.Strong skills in survey software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, Leica, GNSS processing tools).Familiar with construction codes, QA/QC standards, and documentation procedures.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple survey teams across large, complex construction zones.Certification as Licensed Surveyor or Chartered Professional (e.g., RICS, GISP, or local authority license).Experience in airfield pavement surveying, utility mapping, and underground detection.Familiarity with FAA/ICAO airport design standards and survey specifications.Working knowledge of BIM/GIS integration for infrastructure survey.Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
