What You Will Do
In this role, you will jump right in and be part of our field hardware & software product development team. During your time with us, you will get familiar with Trimble Access, Total Stations and GNSS. You will get experience with all aspects of the product life cycle and working on product development initiatives, all while being supported by your team and mentor.
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes:
Conduct hardware and software testing of our Trimble Surveying Workflows, including GNSS, Total Stations, and our latest, unreleased products
Gain experience in customer relations & go-to-market strategies, working alongside your team and mentor to help our development teams provide support to increase value to our customers
Develop a deeper understanding of survey/geomatics knowledge to get a behind-the-scenes look at the development of geospatial technology
Understand requirements for the product development lifecycle and learn how surveyors around the world tackle different challenges
Experience our Christchurch office and take part in our summer intern community, joining 22 interns across the business in personal and professional development opportunities, gaining professional relationships within the Trimble Geospatial teams and in-depth knowledge of Trimble and our products
All of your time with us can get accredited by the Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, helping you progress toward your professional goals
Gain support and guidance from your team and assigned mentor, ensuring continued growth throughout your experience
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying at a New Zealand-based university in your 2nd, 3rd or 4th year
Good personal time management and organizational skills, completing tasks on time
Excellent verbal and written communication & technical skills
Interest and enthusiasm for new technologies and solutions in the geomatics space
A curious mindset and willingness to ask questions to help our teams think outside the box and increasing your knowledge of geospatial products
Basic understanding of Total Stations & GNSS workflows, direct experience with these technologies and Trimble equipment is a plus
