We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Survey Technology Manager to lead the strategic implementation and management of construction technologies across both field and office operations. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with project specifications through the effective use of advanced surveying and construction technology.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with internal teams, external vendors, engineers, and surveyors. This role includes direct management responsibilities and plays a key part in shaping the company’s technology roadmap across all phases of construction projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Oversight & IntegrationLead the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of GPS machine control systems, including Trimble and Leica platforms.Manage the development and coordination of 3D models for GPS machine control and Leica stringless paving systems.Ensure seamless integration of survey data and construction models to support field operations and project execution.Collaboration & Data ManagementPartner with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to validate data accuracy and integrity in model creation.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align technology solutions with project goals and specifications.Training & SupportDevelop and deliver training programs for field and office personnel on the use of construction technology tools.Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting to ensure optimal use of technology systems.Process ImprovementContinuously evaluate existing workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.Leadership & Team DevelopmentManage a team of direct reports, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.Cross-Departmental SupportServe as a subject matter expert and resource for other departments, offering guidance on technology-related initiatives and challenges.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience managing GPS and Leica machine control systems in a construction environment.Proficiency in the following software platforms:Trimble Business CenterTrimble WorksManagerAutoCAD Civil 3DAgtekStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.Experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, or paving projects is highly preferred.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive Medical/Health Insurance coverage.401(k) Retirement Plan with company contributions.Participation in Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).Company vehicle provided for work-related travel.Generous paid time off and holiday benefits.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
