Department Details

We are a Critical Access Hospital in a rural setting. This position is an integral part of our surgical team. We care for patients undergoing a variety of procedures including GI, General surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, and Ophthalmology. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right applicant. Certification as a surgical technician is required at hire or expected to be completed within 1 year of employment.

Scheduled work hours will vary dependent on patient needs.

Job Description

What you will do:

Provide assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures, including preparing and organizing operating room instruments and supplies.Anticipate the surgeons needs during a procedure.Manage and maintain sterile instrumentation.Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, nurses, as well as other health care personnel.Managing and re-processing endoscopes

Qualifications

A graduate of an associates program in Surgical Technology

Certification as a surgical technician is required at hire or expected to be completed within 1 year of employment.
