Job Description: Job Description Position: Surgical Technologist Location: Thayer Center for Health, WatervilleSchedule: Part-time (32 hours/week) Shift: Days (M-F) What You'll Do: + Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. + Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients. + Passes instruments to the physician during surgery. Continually accounts for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. + Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. What You Bring: + Education: Completion of an accredited post-secondary Surgical Technology program. + Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred. + Clinical Skills & Teamwork: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to deliver excellent patient care, collaborate effectively in a team setting, and provide outstanding customer service. + Commitment to Excellence: A dedication to high standards in patient care and professional conduct, contributing to a positive and supportive surgical environment. + Professional Growth: Ongoing commitment to learning and staying current with advances in surgical technology, techniques, and best practices. + Basic Life Support (BLS): Required within 6 months of hire.
