All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift** :Day **Location:** AdventHealth Waterman **The community you'll be caring for:** 1000 WATERMAN WAY, Tavares, 32778 **The role you'll contribute:** Assists surgeons by preparing operating rooms and appropriately arranging surgical equipment and supplies under the direct supervision of Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Registered Nurse (RN). **The value you'll bring to the team:** + Ensures operating room is sterile + Conducts field preparation and maintenance + Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures + Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients + Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases + Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures + Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracks instrument counts throughout procedures **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications** : + Intern will be in final semester of an Accredited Surgical Tech Program with pending graduation within 6 months. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification + Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) will be required within 6 months of hire. Failure to obtain certification will result in job change or termination of employment.
