Job Title: Surgical Scheduling Coordinator
Job Description

The Surgical Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for multiple providers across various specialties. This role ensures a seamless experience for patients by managing pre-operative requirements, obtaining authorizations, and communicating effectively with surgical centers, physicians, and patients.

ResponsibilitiesSchedule surgical procedures and pre-operative appointments in coordination with physicians and surgical facilities.Obtain and verify insurance authorizations and referrals for surgeries and diagnostic procedures.Communicate surgical instructions and preparation details to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.Coordinate with billing and clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding.Maintain accurate records in the EMR system and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and surgical centers to resolve scheduling conflicts or concerns.Track and follow up on pending authorizations and surgical clearances.Provide administrative support to the surgical team as needed.Essential SkillsCustomer service skills.Experience in scheduling appointments.1-2 years of experience coordinating surgical procedures.Familiarity with pre-op and post-op scheduling.Understanding of operating room block time management.Proficiency with electronic health records.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual preferred but not required.Work Environment

This position is located in Danbury, CT and is in-person, requiring work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $52000.00/yr.
