Responsibilities include scheduling surgical procedures, pre-admission testing, and posting of surgical charges. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff. **The value youll bring to the team** **:** Meets with patient to coordinate surgical date. Reviews preoperative instructions: bowel preparation, no aspirin, etc. Registers patient and procedure with the appropriate hospital scheduling department. Coordinates cases requiring multi-specialty surgeons, utilization of an assistant surgeon, or physician assistant. Correlates pre-admission testing and surgical clearance appointments.
