Unit Size: 15-Bed ICU
Schedule: [Full-Time/Part-Time/ 6:45pm - 7:15am

Our Surgical Neuro ICU provides a dynamic, fast-paced environment where critical thinking, advanced skills, and teamwork come together to deliver exceptional outcomes. This unit specializes in treating patients who have experienced neurological events or require high-level medical ICU care.
About the Unit:Our patients require:
Continuous cardiac and neuro monitoring
Detailed neurological assessments
Vasoactive and titratable infusions
Mechanical ventilation
Renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
You’ll work closely with a highly collaborative team including surgeons, neurologists, consultants, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and social workers to provide comprehensive, life-saving care.
What You’ll Do:
Provide intensive monitoring and interventions for critically ill patients.Manage ventilators, IV inotropes, sedation and CRRT.Perform advanced procedures such as targeted temperature management.Respond to code situations, rapid response events and medical emergencies.Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary teams.Educate patients and families on critical care treatments and recovery.

Who We’re Looking For:
An experienced ICU nurse who thrives in high-stakes situations, demonstrates critical thinking and rapid decision-making and ensures exceptional patient outcomes.
Education, Licensures & Certifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing programActive RN license in Illinois requiredCurrent BLS/CPR certification requiredExperience:
Medical ICU or critical care experience preferredProficiency in ventilator management, titratable drips and complex medical casesKey Responsibilities:
Administer intensive monitoring, medications and interventions.Respond to code blue and rapid response situations.Manage central lines, ventilators and bedside procedures.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety compliance.Educate families on conditions, procedures and post-ICU recovery.
