Job Description
Coordinate and schedule retina surgeries across multiple surgical centers, serving as the primary liaison between patients, surgeons, surgical centers, and insurance providers. Obtain prior authorizations and verify insurance coverage for surgical procedures. Educate patients on surgical procedures, pre-op instructions, and post-op care. Ensure all necessary documentation, labs, and clearances are completed prior to surgery. Maintain accurate and up-to-date surgical logs and patient records in the EMR system. Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care. Manage surgical supply needs and coordinate with vendors as necessary.

The position is based in very busy optometrist offices located in the areas of Norwich and Guilford. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. The role may require willingness to work across all three locations, rotating between Guilford and other nearby offices on a weekly basis.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
