**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose:** The surgical aide provides care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, surgical patients under the supervision of the registered nurse. **What You Will Do:** As a member of the surgical team, helps to provide a safe and secure environment for patients and staff. The surgical aide assists in the implementation of the AORN Standards of Care, Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa and Operating Room Policies and Procedures, including cleaning of operating rooms, positioning of patients, transportation of patients and replenishment of supplies. **Hours:** 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Includes some on-call hours on weekends and holidays. **Minimum Qualifications:** Education: + High school diploma required. Must provide proof of Basic Life Support training (can be trained on-site for BLS).
