Apply Now Surgery Scheduling Specialist – Surgical Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: 1325 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 560, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Surgical Specialists Clinic Highlights: Busy multi-specialty surgical practice with 5 surgeons Strong teamwork and collaboration Fast-paced, high volume inbound/outbound calls Compassion and empathy to our patients and the Team Join an innovative team working towards making healthcare more accessible, integrated, and reliable care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) 2 Years Scheduling experience in Healthcare environment (strongly preferred) Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism Requires strong customer skills Good communication skills Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician Coordinates, registers and schedule appointments for patients according to availability Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments Communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure Performs other duties as assigned Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits.
