Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Surgery Scheduler to join our clinical team in Plano. In this vital role, you’ll coordinate surgical procedures, ensure accurate documentation, and serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and surgical facilities. Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule surgeries and pre-operative appointments with precision and efficiencyCoordinate with physicians, surgical centers, and insurance providersObtain prior authorizations and verify benefits for proceduresEducate patients on pre-op instructions, fasting requirements, and arrival timesEnsure all necessary documentation, labs, and imaging are completed prior to surgeryMaintain accurate records in EMR systemsCommunicate clearly with patients regarding scheduling changes or updatesCollaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth surgical workflowsHandle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathyQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred1+ year of experience in medical scheduling or surgical coordinationFamiliarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, Cerner)Strong understanding of insurance processes and prior authorizationsExcellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsCustomer service mindset with a calm, reassuring demeanorBenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for growth and advancementSupportive and collaborative team environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
