Job Description

Provides leadership and oversees day-to-day operations within the shipping and receiving department. Ensures efficiency and productivity levels by training and motivating shipping and receiving department employees in order to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

Supervises day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department to include counting, weighing and identifying items going in and out of the facility.Informs Manufacturing Manager of any problems with materials or equipment to be shipped or have been received.Administers training programs to ensure materials and equipment are shipped and received properly.Partners and collaborates with Customer Service Representatives and other teams in the manufacturing process to ensure client products are properly packaged and shipped expeditiously.Promotes safe working conditions through housekeeping and ensures proper safety practices are followed.Plans, assigns and reviews work of staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hires, trains, develops and manages staff to meet group objectives.Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
