Position Summary
Thales requires a Supportability and Reliability Analyst to conduct, contribute and assist in the preparation and delivery of various Supportability Engineering and Product Support Analyses, plans and reports with the objective of improving the support system of an equipment and / or a system and optimizing the maintainability, availability and the life cycle cost.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Review vendor documentation and identify maintenance and support requirements. Collect, organize and expedite the necessary technical data to conduct Product and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) activities such as Functional Analysis; Failures Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis; Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis; Level of Repair Analysis; Maintenance Task Analysis and Sparing Analysis.Determine required spares and spares quantities to support equipment by reviewing technical publications and usage data as well as interacting with Thales engineering, procurement and service delivery personnel, Technical Authorities or ship staff.Review Maintenance Plans, Preventive or Corrective Maintenance Schedules, and Instructions and Performance Test and operational data to propose amendments to eliminate or control equipment failures or to improve maintainability, increase ship availability or reduce life cycle costs.Develop Maintenance Plans, Preventive or Corrective Maintenance Schedules, and Instructions and Performance Tests as well as Spare Parts List and accompanying Provisioning Technical Data for any new equipment or modification to existing ship systems.Identify the maintenance or spares required to support Short Work Periods or Docking work Periods.Support the AJISS Enterprise stakeholders by addressing maintenance or spares queries as well as problem reports in a timely manner. Manage the data within Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR).Conduct Lifecycle Cost Analysis and report Thru Life Costs. Assist in the preparation and execution of various Supportability plans or B2B processes. Support Engineering personnel with the development of Engineering Change proposals.Minimum Qualifications
An Engineering degree or Technologist diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronic, industrial, reliability or naval engineering.Five years or more experience conducting Logistics Support Analysis in maintenance and supply support of complex systems or equipment.If you’re excited about working with Thales, but not meeting the requirements for this position, we encourage you to join our Talent Community
Special Position Requirements
Schedule: 40 hours per weekPhysical Environment: Hybrid position – which is a mix of working from home and onsite (in office, at customer site or on board ships alongside in harbour)Travel: Occasional domestic travel maybe required in support of the shipsThe anticipated Total Target Compensation (TTC), inclusive of annual salary and bonus eligibility, for this role is 72,686.58 - 134,057.07 CAD Annual. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, provincial, and federal laws.
