Job Description

P/T - 1st Shift (Monday - Friday) Flexible 20+ hours as needed. This is an on site opportunity

 1.  Communicate orally and in writing with clients and coworkers; report confidential test data to clients by phone and e-mail; conveys, translates, and explains technical information between clients and technical staff; discuss sample and/or testing problems; reviews information on client request letters for adequacy and compares against actual technical work performed.

2.  Responsible for facilitating and expediting the processing of client samples and the exchange of information between clients and the technical/administrative staff.

3.  Provide exemplary customer service through, but not limited to, clerical support, data evaluation, and coordination of services by the company.

4.  Ensure that the clients receive clear communication, good service, and fast turn-around times consistent with superior analytical testing.

5.  Update, develop, and implement approved forms to help log communication.

6.  Provide additional technical information to client services and/or clients when necessary.

7.  Perform mathematical calculations to verify or convert test result information.

8.  Review report results and labels to ensure they are logical based on the sample being tested.

9.  Utilize subcontracting protocol (SCP) for transfer of intercompany partner results.

10. Serve as backup designate for analytical reporting.

11. Clerical support to include, but not limited to, quote preparation and generating reports.

12. Responsible for final reporting of analytical results through reporting queue, including new analytical reports and new versions (adds, rechecks, prelims, partials, etc.).

13. Sufficiently understand testing procedures to price appropriate methods and anticipate preparation and handling fees.

14. When requested, produce quotations for clients that include the most appropriate testing for their sample(s).

15. Monitor turn-around-times to support accurate quotations to clients and to keep Support Services Manager informed of deviations from expected normal, to include situations where client expectations were not met.

16. Ensure that proprietary methodologies are not disclosed to non-employees, except as approved in writing by the Quality Manager or appointed designate.

17. Effectively utilize PC and is thoroughly familiar with the use of company provided software packages and systems, such as eLIMS, ComLIMS, EOL, CRM, Microsoft Office.

18. Produce exports, reports, spreadsheets, etc. using eLIMS generated programing.

19. Manage time in a manner that ensures a degree of productivity.

20. Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work area and assist others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

21. Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and coworkers.

22. Remain current on industry and business advancements and trends as suggested by Support Services Manager.

23. Maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees.  Communicate orally and in writing to coworkers.  This includes “intra” and “inter” departmental employees.

24. Promote the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and our customers.

25. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills. Responsive, independent problem solver and action oriented Team player - displays positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Undergraduate degree in scientific field of study with no experience OR Associate degree with 2 years of client management or customer service experience.

Customer service experience preferred Experience in a laboratory environment preferred Some college training in science, or science background, or equivalent preferred.
