About the Role:
Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK) is seeking a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Engineer to support a new defence programme, contributing to the sustainment and development of advanced aerospace systems for the UK Armed Forces.
BDUK, a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, employs over 2,000 people in the United Kingdom (UK) and delivers cutting-edge capabilities to UK defence customers. Key programmes include E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Chinook and Apache fleet support, Training Systems, and C4ISR services.
This role is part of BDUK's growing Product Support Engineering Department, which includes:
Reliability Centred Maintenance AnalysisReliability and MaintainabilityLogistic Support AnalysisEngineering Data ExploitationObsolescence ManagementTechnical PublicationsProduct Support EngineeringAs a RCM Engineer, you will call upon your experience and knowledge to analyse data through recognised techniques and methodologies to optimise, improve and reduce maintenance burdens whilst also maintaining the safety of the product. You will be expected to understand and comply with appropriate regulatory and industry standards to deliver high quality outputs. You will report to the BDUK Support Engineering Manager whilst being technically supported by the RCM Technical Lead and our other capability specialists within the department.
Responsibilities:
Apply RCM methodologies and techniques, ensuring compliance with regulatory and appropriate industry standards, to facilitate and implement reliability improvements.Conduct RCM analysis within defined scope, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.Review and process change requests stemming from maintenance feedback, failure investigations, and reliability studies.Ensure proposed changes meet agreed standards and customer requirements.Provide reporting on progress through KPIs and close-out reports.Implement and update defined RCM tasks in relevant tools to enhance reliability foundations.Required Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
Must be eligible to obtain UK SC security clearance.Engineering background with strong maintenance/engineering experience.Knowledge and application experience of RCM-2 or FMEA principles, practices, and applications, and/or MSG-3 methodology.Demonstrated ability to drive first-time quality improvements.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
Ideally educated to degree level in an Engineering or related subject with 2 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent formal training in Support Engineering principles.Defence background preferred.Understanding of Risk & Opportunity Management principles.Proficiency in risk and reliability management systems and techniques.Experience of Support Engineering.An understanding of Support Engineering in the Military environment.An ability to read and interpret drawing sets and associated engineering artefacts.Ability to work with the cross functional business stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities.Ability to liaise with the OEM platform side of Boeing to integrate the UK solution with those that exist on the base platforms.Experience of working with international and Customer support standards such as Def Stan 00-600, ASD/AIA Suite of S Series IPS Specifications.Additional Opportunities

This role is onsite position with flexible working hours.
