The Coordinator of OR Support and Logistics is responsible for supervision of service areas including facilitation of daily operations; coordination of equipment and scheduling needs for the department of Surgical Services, and management of the department's preference cards.
QUALITY - In collaboration with senior management and/or clinical leadership, assists in establishing standards and strategic initiatives to support organizational patient care goals. Routinely measures and monitors the assigned areas of responsibility. Creates and manages processes which contribute to continual performance improvement. Actively supports and promotes process improvement within areas of responsibility. Ensures that assigned areas meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY - Assists with managing operational budget including revenue, expenses, staff levels and capital equipment sufficient to meet current and projected patient volume or service requirements. Responsibilities include supporting the OR managers and Director in the identification and implementation of cost-effective alternatives, product evaluation, and maximizing contractual agreements. Enhances operational efficiency through the careful management of the department's preference cards in coordination with the nursing team leaders and managers.
PLANNING AND ORGANIZING RESOURCES – Provides input to managers and director regarding daily unit operations. Collaborate with nursing and members of other disciplines to facilitate all scheduled and emergent departmental needs. Assists with implementation of policies and operational structures to ensure continuous quality care, patient access, customer service excellence, and enhanced profitability. Provides administrative support to the divisions Managers and Director as needed.
Job DescriptionMinimum Education Required:
High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education Preferred: Bachelors Degree
Minimum Experience Required:
1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience, operational knowledge of the perioperative department is preferred.
Pay Range: $21.02 - $32.59 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
