Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesIn your role as a Support Engineer Professional, you will have the opportunity to:Provide technical support for assigned applications by doing the troubleshootingDocument the support cases worked on for further analysis purposesCooperate with Product Managers on customer support cases Assist in software products testingProvide pre-sales supportSupport market organisations in customer projects off- and on-site with assigned applications installations (proposing/ designing system architectures, implementation plans, configuration features, validation)Train market organizations and end-customersWrite technical documentations e.g. knowledge base articles, description of a functionality etcCreate/ adapt training documentation/ videoWhat You Need to SucceedQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.Work Experience: 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience. Good knowledge of installing/ maintaining software needed for production process.Good knowledge of root cause analysis and problem solving techniques.Experience in technical support, engineering or similar.Broad technical experience (advanced concepts of computer architecture, microservices, network, database, Windows Server OS, virtualizations, web services, load balancers, caching, etc.) in application support of large distributed client-server systems. Knowledge of setting up/operating container-based systems (Docker or Kubernetes) in a private or public cloud such as Microsoft Azure.Depending on new technology requirements additional extended IT knowledge required.Experience in international work environment.Cross-departmental way of thinking and working, have a high degree of independence and customer orientation, are technically competent and have a friendly demeanor to successfully advise and support demanding customers.Fluent communication skills in English are required.
Nice to have skill / experience:ITIL certification - Foundation LevelGood knowledge of validation of computer systemsExperience in laboratory or industrial environment, with knowledge of IT systems in laboratory/ production processesExperience as field technician in industrial environment
