Transaction Data Storage Reliability Engineering (TDSRE) team is looking for a Support Engineer IV to join our team and deliver strategic goals for Amazon eCommerce Storage Technologies (eCST) systems. This is a great opportunity to join our mission to manage/build tech solutions that empower our customers. As a Support Engineer IV, you are will be considered a technical subject matter expert for tools and services within the team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge on distributed systems at scale and is interested to learn about database systems from database engine design to operating a tier-1 flagship product. You will be responsible for reducing the operational toil and provide operational support for Sable services and help with critical projects like Sable Data Migration. As a member of the team, you will be guiding team members from multiple disciplines to provide solutions that meet customers requirement. You will play a significant role in hiring, mentoring, and training new hires.
Key job responsibilities
* Aid in the development and testing of operational tools that improve efficiency through automation
* Maintain software hygiene of the services team owns and supports.
* Work with peers and other teams on high-severity, active support issues, prioritizing mitigation while investigating root-cause fixes, including extensive troubleshooting.
*Ownership of operational and technical systems, tools and processes
*Creating and maintaining team specific knowledge-base articles and operational training documentation
Assist in the training and development of new staff
