Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Senior Support Engineer in establishing a scope of work and advising on the most appropriate method of repairs, taking into consideration internal manufacturing capability, customer specifications, drawings, samples, etc. Supporting the Sales Staff in establishing the technical details in the tender process. Assisting the Project Engineers / Administrators in tender and other reviews, advising of any discrepancies, as well as overseeing the technical management of the contract. Responsible for manufacturing drawings of components and reverse engineering functions, including selection of appropriate materials and applying knowledge in a manufacturing environment with logistics, purchase specifications, programming, and optimization. Drive improvements via modernization, upgrades, production methods, and efficiency. Act as Quality Controller on behalf of the Sales Department to ensure work is carried out per agreed recommended repair scope, technical requirements, and adherence to company as well as international standards.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements: Minimum 2-5 Years related experience. Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng / BSc Eng) with knowledge in high-speed rotating equipment. Understand and have knowledge about Plant equipment, customer base, and applicable sales processes beneficial. CNC programming and machining knowledge are beneficial. Experience with CAD drafting (preferably CADKEY) & 3D modeling (preferably SOLIDWORKS). Tool and fixture design, Photometric Scanning, and CMM are advantageous. SolidWorks / Ansys advanced capability in generating drawings and performing static & dynamic analysis. Good understanding of Thermodynamic principles & materials and welding specifications advantageous.
