Support Coordinator II - WIC Program - Full Time - Days

The role of the Support Coordinator II is for maintaining support functions necessary for our daily operations. This position will be located in Ebeid Children's WIC office. This candidate will provide great customer service, as well as all clerical functions and some patient care functions. Some job duties include, but are not limited to:
Completes certification forms on all eligible participants and processes all completed forms
Performs income verification, obtains heights and weights, registers patients for lab or obtains hemoglobin values
Registers clients in the computer by obtaining demographic information
Assembles participants WIC chart. Maintains WIC chart, in appropriate order, and updates, as required
Answers all incoming calls, schedules appointments, logs concerns and triages phone calls to the appropriate dietitian
Obtains verification of participants medical record number and Medicaid eligibility
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous office/clerical experience in a fast paced environment is highly preferred
Previous experience working with children
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, have good telephone manners, in stressful situations
Should have a basic understanding of Medical Terminology
Must have good computer skills and the ability to learn new software
