**Summary** **CHENEGA PRO FEDERAL SOLUTIONS, LLC** Okinawa, Japan The **Supply Technician** Support shall provide supply technical, material management and causative research on supplies located in and disseminated throughout U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa. **Responsibilities** + Review, process and fill in-house supply requisitions, support inventory/storage management, cataloging and property utilization efforts. + Assist reporting of development, procurement, compliance, tracking, evaluation and renewal of contract, contract performance and maintenance of contract records/files. + Assist in requirements determination and forecasting, as well as identification, segregation distribution of material to end-users in an automated logistics environment. Duties also include the segregating, labeling and storage of material in accordance with local policy. + Process an average of nine (9) TASK 1 transaction per hour. + Maintain local stock records to highly improve visibility and availability of material. + Safeguard material, items and equipment, challenging unauthorized personnel. + Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly fashion. + Provide technical, material management and causative research necessary to support medical and dental consumables inventory management for the MMD warehouse and Kanban Supply System at Okinawa and Branch Health Clinics (BHCs). + Assist in the daily maintenance of storage areas, inventory, and replenishment of medical and dental supplies in both warehouse and patient care areas. + Assist with tracking Prime Vendor, ECAT, GSA, and Open Market orders and submit reports on actions taken to resolve shipment discrepancies. + Perform various warehouse services as specified herein. Services include but are not limited to warehouse functions such as Shipping/Receiving; Stacking/Storing; Loading and unloading trucks; Inventory Control; Picking; Packing; Retrieval and puta-way; Distribution; General housekeeping; Operating and Maintaining Material Handling Equipment (MHE); Utilize handheld scanners and barcodes. + Assist in the daily maintenance of storage areas, inventory, and replenishment of medical and dental supplies in both warehouse and patient care areas. + Utilize the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) automated data management systems as the primary tracking and reporting system. + Utilize the DMLSS barcoding system to perform departmental inventories and shall replenish the empty bins within six hours. + Communicate with departments and the Inventory Manager to adjust par levels in accordance with local guidance and assist with adding new medical items to the inventory as necessary. + Arrange, label and categorize any new items and make barcoding system updates to reflect newly added supplies. + Utilize the DMLSS to compare packing slip with the contract and the shipping documents/proof of receipt (DD250)/maintenance duration (as applicable)/contractor timesheets/hours worked to verify that the goods or services invoiced have been received and are in accordance with the terms of the contract. + Make physical adjustments to the Kanban system to accommodate new and deleted items as needed. The Kanban system can accommodate specialty items. + Assist the supply petty officer with mandatory source screening and GCPC waiver process to obtain those items. + Utilize DMLSS to research, pick, catalog, and stock items in conjunction with warehouse operations. + Operate a forklift and government vehicle when required. + Ensure visuals or standard work aids are available in each area and provide departmental training on the daily use of the Kanban system upon request or as needed. Provide backup support for Linen Supply Technician. + Approximately 216,000 TASK 1 & 2 transactions shall require processing during the period of performance. + Ability to process an average of twenty (9) transactions per hour as reference to TASK 1 of the Performance Work Statement. + Ability to process an average of forty (40) transactions per hour as reference to TASK 2 of the Performance Work Statement. + Ensure 100% program compliance with DHA and BUMED requirements. + Ensure Warehouse maintains stock levels of 95% inventory. + Safeguard material, items, and equipment, challenging all unauthorized personnel. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency. + Possess a valid forklift operator’s license for the size vehicle to be operated + Possess a valid USFJ driver’s license and U.S. Government Motor Vehicle permit (Optional Form OF346) to operate light truck, step-van or sedan to transport requisitioned material to end-user spaces. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Ability to read, write, speak and understand English clearly. + Ability to use standard office equipment, such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and telephone systems. + Knowledge of medical ethics, telephone etiquette, and excellent communication and customer service skills. + Possess the necessary supply technical skills to carry out all supply duties and be proficient in such areas as inventory control, supply distribution, storage and shipping, cataloging, and preservation and packaging + Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds unaided. **Physical Demands:** (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
