DMS is currently seeking a Supply Technician, as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), qualified to execute DPAS/ELMS processes as a technical supply chain manager. The Supply Technician works closely with other contractors, military, and government civilian logistics personnel and must be able to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as much as 70% of their work schedule. The Supply Technician must be familiar with applicable Navy rules, regulations, and other requirements as listed in the contract's Performance Work Statement (PWS) and may be required to attend in-service training which is designed to update contractor personnel on Government rules, regulations, and other requirements.
The Supply Technician must:
+ Be a US Citizen.
+ Hold, at a minimum, an active SECRET security clearance.
+ Hold a valid passport.
+ Be able to travel as much as 70% of their work schedule to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
+ Possess an excellent work ethic with strong verbal and written communication skills and perform all administrative and routine functions assigned in a detailed and accurate manner.
+ Possess a minimum of five (5) years' experience working with property management applications, preferably with Navy property management systems, which include duties such as validating data, maintaining data quality, troubleshooting, and resolving database issues to ensure date integrity.
+ Possess supply management experience, preferably with Navy supply management, with a background in inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization, related to depot, local, or other supply activities, usually segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.
The Supply Technician's duties include:
+ A good working knowledge of government supply systems programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals and other established guidelines.
+ The analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, collect the necessary data to establish the facts related to those problems identified, and take or recommend action/s based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
+ Perform assignments usually related to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty, involving individual case problems or supply actions within inventory systems.
+ Perform CONUS and OCONUS travel as required, up to 70% of the work schedule.
+ Maintain all certifications, if required by the contract, to maintain competence.
+ Complete all mandatory general training as designated by the Contracting Officer and as designated in the NECC 1500 series annual training note for Contractor personnel.
+ Perform inventory entry and correction of NECC Table of Allowance material in accordance with schedules and locations provided by NECC.
+ Support the development of inventory related reports, including daily inventory production reports, weekly inventory production summary reports, and also ad hoc reporting on inventory accomplishment and quality of data reported.
