Summary of Job Duties:The Supply Technician is responsible for proper handling and dispensing of medical/surgical supplies in clinical areas, supply par and various inventory locations.

High School/GED or formal educational equivalent and six months experience in supply distribution preferably in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately order and completely fill PAR levels of medical/surgical supplies in automated supply cabinets and manually controlled bulk PAR rooms.
• Check PAR areas on a daily basis and as assigned; break down pallets and deliver supplies on carts; refill central supply inventory locations and adjust inventory counts.
• Count, manage and place replenishment orders as needed.
• Rotate supplies into Sterile and non-sterile areas on shelves, specialty carts, floors on the FIFO (first in, first out) basis when restocking; daily checks of supplies for package integrity and outdates and remove damaged or outdated supplies.
• Perform cycle counts and correct on a daily basis and as needed to ensure accurate inventory counts.
• Maintain cabinets and carts in assigned areas in a neat and orderly basis; organize shelves, bins and labels and keep the supply areas clean; follow through on needed repairs to cabinets and carts; remove unauthorized/excessive/damaged/outdated supplies.
• Staff the Central Supply dispatch window and tube system as assigned; issue and record supplies sent via pick up, delivery or tube system.
• Issue out procedural trays and carts and record the issuance.
• Responsible for after hour delivery of isolation cart.
• Other duties as assigned.
