Summary You will serve as a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST in the Engineering and Product Support Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will work to prevent and purge defective and unusable materials from the supply system. You will review and analyze Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) to evaluate organizational compliance with established policies. You will consult with internal and external partners regarding corrective actions for quality assurance material issues. You will develop and recommend improvements and changes as needed. You will develop and implement internal processing procedures. You will provide technical guidance to Quality Assurance Specialists and Supply Systems Analysts on complex or unprecedented problems regarding systems or equipment affected by defective material. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector preventing defective material from entering the supply system by investigating and analyzing a variety of unusual supply problems, questions, or conditions associated with Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs). Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Reviewing, analyzing, and processing Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) to evaluate compliance with policies and to monitor effectiveness of the stock screening program;2) Providing Navy ships and shore activities with advice on suspected defective material and on procedures to report defective material including logistics/technical information necessary for in-depth investigations;3) Defining problems, analyzing alternatives, and recommending solutions on unprecedented or unique problems;4) Supporting the development of plans, policies and procedures which result in an improved quality level of supply system stock; and 5) Supporting stock screening efforts.
