Supply Supervisor (SSA)
AFO is looking for a Supply Supervisor in the SSA to join our Fort Carson team. **Responsibilities** + Assists Supply Manager in directing Supply operations i.e. the requisition, receipt, issue, storage and associated inventory control of all material and supplies necessary to support contractual requirements. + Directs the operation of the reparable exchange, inventory, storage and distribution activities. + Direct and controls supply provisioning of the Authorized to Forecast (ATF) excess retrograde equipment and supply for turning into DLA-DS or Depot level. + Direct and controls activities which monitor and track receipt of materials and supplies, inventory, consumption, Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) stockage levels and property accounts. + Conducts inspection and reviews of all work and takes appropriate corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. + Ensure all weapons, sensitive and pilfer-able items are secured and always protected and entered Unique Item Tracking (UIT) when required. + Must have strong Supervisory duties, interpersonal communication skills and an innate ability to work and communicate verbally, written and effectively with others. timecards, counseling and mentorship. + Organizes, directs and coordinates the planning and production of included activities. + Provide directions and guidance to office, branch, and section Leads. + All other duties assigned. **Qualifications** + Degree in Business Administration desirable. Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) certification. + Five years military training in logistics or supply or equivalent civilian course work required. Course in personnel management desired. + Through military or industrial logistical training, must have a broad and comprehensive knowledge of the theory, principles and methods required to plan a base supply account. + A minimum of seven years’ general experience in management. + Five years specialized experience in progressively responsible positions in the Department of Defense encompassing the following: understanding of program planning, funds control, data collection and analysis and control techniques and a broad knowledge of a variety of supply functions such as storage, inventory management, shipping, receiving, troop issue, petroleum oil and lubricants. Understanding a wide variety of supplies and services to include Class I-VII and IX, equipment handling, military equipment, automated Logistics Information Systems. + Three years of supervisory experience is preferred. + Must possess and continuously maintain a current State of Colorado Driver’s License prior to starting or by 30 days after employment. + Must be US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) to obtain a CAC and SECRET Clearance.
