Job Title: Supply Planner
About the Role
Join Cisco's Silicon Operations Team and play a critical role in ensuring the availability of our innovative Cisco Silicon One™ products as a Supply Planner. This is an opportunity to directly impact the supply chain for next-generation network technology, working within a dynamic and customer-focused organization.
As a key member of the Silicon Manufacturing Operations (SMO) team, you will be responsible for developing and executing supply plans for a product family, ensuring that supply aligns with demand and that operational targets are met.
What You'll Do
Supply Plan Development & Execution: Develop and maintain tactical supply plans (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly) to meet forecasted demand, considering capacity constraints, lead times, and inventory targets. Execute these plans in collaboration with manufacturing and procurement teams via a weekly MPS process.
Demand-Supply Balancing: Proactively identify and resolve potential supply gaps and excesses by analyzing demand signals, inventory levels, and production capacity. Work with demand planning and sales operations to understand demand drivers and changes.
Inventory Management & Optimization: Manage inventory levels for assigned products against targets. Implement inventory strategies to optimize stock, minimize obsolescence, and ensure product availability.
Capacity Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with manufacturing sites and suppliers to assess available capacity and identify potential bottlenecks. Provide input for short-term and mid-term capacity adjustments.
Master Data Management for Planning: Ensure the accuracy of planning parameters (e.g., lead times, safety stock, batch sizes) in planning systems. Regularly review and update parameters based on performance and changing business needs.
Supplier Collaboration & Performance Monitoring: Work closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure material availability and adherence to delivery schedules. Monitor supplier performance related to supply commitments.
Risk Identification & Mitigation: Identify potential risks to supply (e.g., material shortages, capacity constraints, supplier issues) and develop mitigation plans. Escalate critical issues as needed.
Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on key supply planning KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, inventory turns, plan attainment). Analyze performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Scenario Planning & Analysis: Conduct what-if analysis to assess the impact of different demand scenarios or supply disruptions on the supply plan.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales Operations to ensure alignment and effective execution of supply plans.
