Supply Chain Regulatory Manager
Job Title: Import Regulatory Manager - Semiconductor Industry Job Description Join our North American Semiconductor group in Austin, TX, as an experienced Import Regulatory Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing trade controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management within the semiconductor industry. You will design and implement supply chain programs, regulatory audits, and performance management systems while fostering stakeholder relationships and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Responsibilities + Conduct comprehensive risk assessments using established methodologies to identify potential trade and regulatory control violations. + Implement risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions for different product categories and destinations. + Establish and maintain regulatory policies, procedures, and internal controls. + Create and maintain regulatory documentation and record-keeping systems with real-time transaction monitoring. + Monitor changes in trade control regulations and assess their impact on organizational operations, implementing automated screening systems as necessary. + Ensure proper classification of products under Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) and create country-specific regulatory protocols as required. + Manage import/export licensing requirements. + Design and implement supplier prospecting and identification protocols, supplier surveys, audits, and questionnaires. + Establish and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) with automated red-flag detection for measuring Supply Chain program effectiveness. + Manage ethical, social, environmental, and governance policies as they relate to regulatory processes and supplier codes of conduct. + Coordinate with legal counsel on complex compliance matters and ensure alignment with business objectives and company policies. + Manage relationships with third-party business customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal team members. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience. + 7+ years of experience in export control compliance or Supply Chain Management, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech industries. + Strong knowledge of EAR, ITAR, and other relevant trade and Semiconductor Supply Chain regulations. + Understanding of U.S. national security policies, anti-terrorism measures, and foreign policy objectives. + Experience with export licensing and export control classification procedures. + Proven track record in supplier risk assessment, compliance, and regulatory program management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certified Export Compliance Professional (ECoP®) from the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI) or equivalent institution. + Supply Chain Certifications are a plus. + Experience with semiconductor industry or other controlled technology sectors. + Knowledge of global trade compliance and regulatory governance requirements. + Experience with trade compliance software and regulatory automation tools. + Experience in supply chain audit procedures, performance management, and quality management systems.
