If you are a Supply Chain professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee, MN location, as a Supply Chain Project Coordinator - NPD you will serve as the supply chain single point of contact on new product development programs. You will support new product teams from initial design concept through the development cycles and product introduction. You will collaborate with all functions of the supply chain to help source, qualify and launch new product materials.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Ensure the completion of all supply chain deliverables within the NPD phase gate process.
Communicate deliverable requirements to supporting supply chain functions
Delegate deliverable activities as needed
Document evidence of deliverable completion to support gate reviews
Present supply chain content in all formal project reviews
Manage communication between the project team and supporting supply chain functions including: commodity management, supplier quality, compliance, and purchasing.
Share critical program details including scope, priority, schedule and requirements for launch
Request supply chain support as required by the project team
Serve as the conduit for project related information to the supply chain organization including risk identification, schedule delays, resource changes and phase-gate completion
Support sourcing activities while leveraging commodity strategies and preferred supplier base.
Initiate quoting for materials, supplier tooling and development cost
Organize DFM/DFT discussions between suppliers, product design and supplier quality
Support supplier selection considering best cost, terms, lead time, service level, TCO
Manage documentation between design engineering and suppliers (drawings, BoMs, CAD files etc.)
Guide electrical sourcing analysis process, focusing on multiple sources and component lifecycle
Purchase all materials required to support prototyping, design and manufacturing development

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $58,000-$62,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
