Supply Chain Program Manager, Global Procurement Organization, Global Procurement Launch & Expansion

The Global Procurement Launch and Expansion (GPLE) team manages the flow of materials to new or expanding sites by monitoring and mitigating supply risks. The Supply Chain Program Mgr. role is seen as a strategic driver for excellence, through implementation of best practices, standardization of project execution and governance. An experienced procurement or project/program management professional, responsible for monitoring project progress and performance, proactively identifying risks and managing mitigation plans. This person will have excellent communication skills to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and have the ability to focus simultaneously on short term deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver long term value to internal customers. Key job responsibilities -Monitor and mitigate overall risk for all new launches buildings. -Continuously improve current processes -Identify and/or eliminate project related barriers for team members and partners. -Communicate building launch plans with Category, Site Procurement Operations (SPO) teams, and cross-functional organizations. -Establish initial procurement order streams to match supply with demand on a Just-in-Time (JIT) basis. -Collaborate with suppliers and establish monitoring processes, where applicable, to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance. -Ensure Procurement’s resource requirements are met in all new site launches. -Define key performance indicators – develop metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives. -Interface with Procurement Operations to implement best practices and ensure consistency across buildings. -Partner with internal customers to positively influence spending decisions. -Drive execution of vision and goals for the team. -Develop sustainable training as needed for new project/program launches. -Manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously. -Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally. A day in the life -Regular planning calls with vendors for prioritization/execution tracking -Intake site requirements for equipment based on sq. footage/headcount/site type from stakeholder teams -Vendor site assessment coordination between suppliers and site stakeholders -Equipment delivery/install coordination & tracking -Purchase order initiation, tracking & planning with vendors -Vendor and stakeholder escalation management About the team Global Procurement Launch & Expansion (GPLE) is a global function within GPO that enables the on-time launch of new sites, expansions, and retrofits, by ensuring non-inventory materials are planned for, ordered and delivered in full, and services are mobilized on-time, whilst managing a high level of ambiguity due to differing needs that span across multiple stakeholder organizations. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - 3+ years of supply chain experience - Bachelor's degree - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
