Supply Chain & Operations Manager
Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Supply Chain and Operations Manager to lead our supply chain and operations teams within the Controls division across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). In this key role, you will oversee planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics, ensuring efficient, end-to-end supply chain performance.

You’ll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, utilising data and analytics to guide decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, agile team and make a tangible impact on business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

Team Management
•    Develop and maintain key team objectives based on achieving the annual organisational objectives set. 
•    Strengthen team capabilities and develop a motivated and performance-driven team.
•    Ensure full utilisation of resources and increase efficiency of the supply chain, warehouse and operational teams 
•    Take the lead in the recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees.
•    Ensure compliance with HR performance management processes, including performance and salary reviews. 
•    Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the business so objectives and improvements can be delivered.

Supply Chain
•    Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve performance and reduce costs
•    Overseeing the purchasing and inventory of goods based on company requirements
•    Managing relationships with key suppliers to maintain the quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with the terms of contracts
•    Coordinating with sales to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure the availability of products. 
•    Implementing new technologies or systems to improve and streamline supply chain processes
•    Assessing and managing risks to supply chain operations due to potential disruptions or variances
•    Monitoring and adjusting supply chain activities to meet changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies
•    Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all aspects of supply chain operations
•    Maintaining accurate records of supply chain activities, including tracking, measurement, reporting and analysis of performance data
•    Manage the local and international freight to ensure the most cost-effective freight cost is always maintained.

Inventory Management
•    In conjunction with the sales management, ensure that appropriate products are sourced and the most effective inventory level and mix are held.
•    Ensure the accuracy of the inventory held in each location and conduct stock takes/cycle counts regularly.

Health and Safety & Quality
•    Take the lead on IS09001-2015 quality audits and ensure compliance with the global program across each location. 
•    Manage the EH&S program, ensuring that all company and statutory obligations are met and that the highest standard of employee safety is maintained at all times.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

•    Qualification in Supply Chain Management or equivalent Business management qualifications
•    Demonstrated experience establishing supply chain, planning and procurement processes 
•    Demonstrated initiative to manage strategic issues and resolve complex problems with a high degree of autonomy.
•    Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc)
•    Sound understanding of material planning and inventory management 
•    Understanding of the relevant HSE (Health & Safety and Environmental) Legislation 
•    Understanding of the ISO 9001 Quality requirements.
