**Job Title:** Supply Chain Manager
**Salary/Grade:** £60,320 - £75,000 per annum (depending on experience)
**Location** : Larne

**This position requires a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.**

**The opportunity**
In our Larne facility we currently require a senior Supply Chain and Logistics Manager. This person will lead a team of 40+ people including leaders and individual contributors. This is a very exciting time to be in Large Electric Power group, we have significant growth and a challenging supply landscape.
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling, planning, managing all materials and critical logistics activities on the site. All of this is done to support the production at our Larne facility, but also has responsibility for planning a sub supply of our power solutions packaging facilities who are located globally.
You will have detailed knowledge of supply chain design, total cost management ranging from departmental budgets to material cost reduction and a proven track record in managing others.
You will work on a global leadership team who are responsible for all supply supporting our Large Electric Power solutions business, this is a role that will equip the person with detailed CAT experience and connections to many other parts of the wider CAT enterprise.
**What you will do:**
+ Work with a global team to schedule, plan, manage all materials and critical logistics activities.
+ Maintain communications with operations, procurement, logistics, and distribution. Creating integrated processes to streamline supply chains.
+ Interact with sales, engineering, and facilities management on production schedules and expected deliverables.
+ Manage and direct the logistics specialists, including training, hiring, and coaching.
+ Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks to guide supply chain planning and forecasting; monitoring planned vs. actual performance and presents results to senior management.
**What you have:**
Supply Chain Management - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Advises others on capacity issues at various points in the supply chain.
+ Consults on supply chain network design projects or processes.
+ Quantifies and evaluates benefits and risks of various supply chain strategies and approaches.
+ Participates in joint planning, process design/redesign with clients and partners.
Inventory Management - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Ensures that the inventory is at an appropriate level and meets both internal and external requirements.
+ Applies systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolves conflicts.
+ Reviews reports used for inventory management to find out related problems.
+ Ensures corporate inventory management processes and procedures are adhered to.
Logistics Management - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Manages logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
+ Develops and analyzes logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
+ Consults on all major logistics processes, their interactions and operational requirements.
Supplier Management - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Monitors supplier performance; works to resolve discrepancies between performance and agreements.
+ Builds and maintains partnerships with multiple and/or large suppliers.
+ Evaluates issues and terminates supplier relationships as appropriate; works with legal departments.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking - Level Expert:
+ Analyzes and discusses alternatives with multiple stakeholders.
+ Develops team in decision making tools to support facility planning and execution.
Effective Communications - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Reviews others' writing or presentations and provides feedback and coaching.
+ Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.
+ Confident with communicating with all levels of the business and external customers.
Performance Management - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Gives continuing feedback, recognizes achievement, and recommends improvement.
+ Defines and agrees upon performance goals and objectives with associates.
+ Identifies performance problem areas early on and defines specific improvement activities.
+ Adjusts and communicates performance objectives as necessary for team objectives.
**Additional information:**
+ There is up to a 25% travel requirement - Visiting suppliers, Other CAT facilities and customers.
