Manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to join and lead a growing team. Manager will oversee supply chain, planning and warehousing teams.
Materials & Warehouse Management
•\tManage procurement, planning, inventory, shipping and receiving for Tension Colorado (TCO)
•\tDrive material savings to achieve strategic objectives
•\tConduct inventory cycle counts and reconcile variances. Lead annual physical inventory
•\tDevelop policies and procedures for procurement & warehouse departments
•\tNegotiate with suppliers to achieve the best price, quality & delivery
•\tManage material requirements planning and implement MRP in current ERP system
•\tLeverage ERP to optimize planning, procurement, and warehouse management
•\tManage shipping & receiving activities, including facilitating Return to Manufacturer Authorization processing
•\tManage inventory planning & controls, including but not limited to: developing stocking & replenishment strategies, setting safety stock, min/max and re-order point parameters, and defining and establish inventory classifications
•\tMaintain operating budgets and target cost objectives for direct and indirect spending
•\tSet up and optimize vendor managed inventory
•\tEstablish processes for material handling and lean material control
•\tDevelop procedures to optimize planning process and prioritize/schedule shop orders
•\tConduct make vs buy decisions to optimize absorption and lower cost & lead times
•\tPlan, develop and implement inventory control and manufacturing order procedures
•\tMentor and provide training to maintain department expertise
•\tLead and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
•\tHire, train and manage procurement & warehouse teams; providing work assignments, performance management and conflict resolution
•\tDrive problem-solving and continuous improvement to improve planning process
•\tFacilitate team building and collaboration
•\tDrive initiatives to accelerate team performance
•\tDevelop system tools and best practices for materials management and material control
•\tDevelop best practices for lean materials utilizing lean methodologies
Quality Control
•\tCreate an effective and sustainable Quality Management System (QMS)
•\tEstablish processes and procedures for receiving inspection to improve quality control
•\tQualify suppliers and create an approved supplier list (ASL)
•\tProcess warranty claims with external & internal suppliers
•\tReview scrap and defects to determine root cause
•\tCreate quality procedures and measurements to maintain quality and track improvement
•\tWork closely with Engineering to improve existing products
•\tConduct 1st article inspections with suppliers
•\tEnsure standards and safety regulations are followed
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
•\tEngineering understanding of machined and fabricated parts as well as understanding machinery and electrical assembly practices.
•\tFamiliarization of lean practices and methodologies.
•\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills
•\tStrong computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel) with emphasis in spreadsheet development and ERP functionality. Microsoft Great Plains ERP experience desired
•\tExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role.
•\tResults-oriented, resourceful, self-motivated, professional etiquette, customer-service-oriented with the demonstrated ability to lead, coach and inspire others to the same behaviors.
•\tAnalytical thinker and passion for root-cause problem solving.
•\tWorks effectively, collaboratively, and respectfully in a team environment. Comfortable in cross-functional roles.
•\tAble to interpret engineering drawings
•\tAbility to synthesize complete information and perform fact-based problem solving
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•\t+5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations and supply chain management in a design-to-build environment.
•\tBachelor’s degree in business management, engineering or supply chain and equivalent work experience.
•\tStrong negotiator and experience in procurement procedures, planning, and inventory management.
•\tSuccessful experience leading teams

The work environment is dynamic, with the company moving to a larger facility in Aurora soon, providing more room for growth. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
